Drone Attacks on Americans

Should drone attacks be allowed to kill an American citizen? The obvious answer is no, maybe never even ever. However, what if the person has killed someone? I still say no, he should be extracted by the host nation and sent to the United States for trial, permitted he kill an American/ committed said crime on American soil. Even further in this scenario, what if the aforementioned citizen is a known terrorist, say an Al-Qaeda leader living abroad? I say if the evidence is irrefutable and the crime is murder, kill him. Reasoning? He/She has already displayed the intent to kill someone and living outside the U.S. makes him liable to kill many more Americans in the future through means that are not necessarily picked up by other nations. In the link below the article says that a thread leaked about a kill list for drones approved by President Obama that was purposely kept from the public's eyes. Now the hardest question, is it permissible for that information to be kept secret. NO, NOT NOW NOT EVER. There must be transparency or kill lists could progress into who knows what, and next thing you know we're living a real-life Minority Report. Alright, that's an exaggeration, but things kept secret only need to fall in one irresponsible person's hands before atrocities are committed. When I vote for an election some day in the future, I don't want to have to value whether the man I am voting for deems it legal to kill Americans. Again not saying that it would get that far, but precautions should be taken now.
